DIRECTOR'S BIO

Emily Courtemanche, 15

Our director, Emily Courtemanche, as well as everyone on the planet, play a role in the Drama of Salvation. Emily was born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, with her loving parents and two brothers. She lived there until she was 11 and moved to Barrie. Here she found a completely new life, in more than one way. Emily never seemed to have friends when she lived in Sudbury, and the going was tough. But in Barrie, she found lots of God-fearing, loving people. In Barrie, she also found a completely new life spiritually. As a child, Emily always went to church, knew all the actions, memorized verse, but the faith was never really hers. At a youth retreat in the Muskokas, Emily accepted Christ into her heart personally. And though she’s nowhere near perfect, as none of us are, she has been doing her best to remain faithful. Today she serves as a worship leader for kids ministries at her church, and loves being with her church family. Although self—righteousness has always been an area of struggle in her life, with the Lord’s help, she is slowly being freed from it.

ABOUT THE SHOW

The Drama of Salvation is an audio drama of the entire Bible, as well as recent history and the future of this world. Although, not every Bible character is included in the drama. The show focuses on nine different characters and their stories, and tells them in an exciting and fun way. This is a school project. The grade 10 Bible class at UCHS is doing their final projects, and this is one of them. The director, student on UCHS, completed this project in 13 days, which was very difficult to accomplish. Scripting was finished over a weekend, and the rest of the time was spent recording with her friends and family, and editing the project. Now that the project is done, she hopes that it will be used for good purposes, as well as get her a good mark.
